Who We Are
The MATHEMATICAL SOCIETY- BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY, Varanasi was founded on January 04, 1985 to promote research activities in mathematics and its related areas. Since then, it has been organizing the National Conference each year uninterruptedly. So far the society has organized thirty five (35) National Conferences successfully at various places. Further, the Society also publishes a journal named as “Proceedings of The Mathematical Society” and gives two awards for the best paper presentations to young researchers.

1. 35thAnnual Conference of The Mathematical Society-Banaras Hindu University on “Advancements in Mathemaical Analysis and Their Applications” during November12-13, 2019 at Department of Mathematics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
2.34th Annual Conference of The Mathematical Society-Banaras Hindu University on “Emerging Trends in Combinatorics and Its Applications” during February22-23, 2019 at Department of Mathematics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
3. 33rdAnnual National Conference of The Mathematical Society – BHU on “Recent Advances in Mathematical Modeling and Analysis” during February 16-17,2018 at Department of Mathematics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
4. 32ndAnnual National Conference of The Mathematical Society – BHU on “Resent Trends in Mathematical Analysis and its Applications” during February 17-18, 2017 at Department of Mathematics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
5. 31thAnnual National Conference of MS-BHU on “Mathematical and Statistical Techniques and Their Applications to Science and Technology” during November 20-21, 2015 organized by DIT University, Dehradun.
6. 30thAnnual National Conference of The Mathematical Society – BHU on “Mathematical Analysis and Applications” during February 17-18, 2017 at Department of Mathematics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
7. 29thAnnual National Conference of MS-BHU on “Recent Trends in Mathematical Modeling and Applications” during February 03-04, 2014 at Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
8. 28thAnnual National Conference of the Mathematical Society – Banaras Hindu University on “Recent Trends in Mathematical Analysis and Modeling” organized by the Department of Applied Mathematics, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Patna Campus, Patna during December 03-04, 2012.
9. 27thAnnual National Conference on “Mathematical and Statistical Techniques and their Applications to Science and Engineering” during November 26-27, 2011 organized by Department of Applied Mathematics & Statistics, School for Physical Sciences, Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow-226025.
10. 26thAnnual National Conference was organized by the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221005 on the topic “Recent Trends in Analysis and Modeling” during November 28-29, 2010.
11. Silver Jubilee Conference of the Society was organized on the topic “Mathematical Modeling of Real Life Problems” during December 22-24, 2009 by Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221005.
